The hotel is backing Murray’s KICKmas BOX show at the Ulster Hall on December 19 and will become host to a number of Murray’s promotions in 2006.
The new relationship will see a special guest arrive at Hilton Hotel in December, boxing legend Marvelous Marvin Hagler, who will be attending Gary Hamilton’s world title showdown with Mohammad Samir at the Ulster Hall.
Billy Murray said: “Kickboxing is becoming a 5-star sport with a 5-star fanbase, so it is natural we check-in at a 5-star hotel. The Hilton staff were extremely professional in dealing with me and it’s great to have Belfast’s top hotel take an interest in our sport.
“The Hilton is no stranger to kickboxing, having hosted several shows in the past. There is big competition in the hospitality world in our confident and vibrant city and the Hilton was so impressive in its dealings with kickboxing and my ProKick Gym we simply could not consider working with anyone else.”
Erika Jaggers, Hilton Northern Ireland Sales Manager said: “We were impressed by the positive image Billy Murray Promotions brings to Belfast and Northern Ireland. He has brought kickboxing to the fore and we are looking forward to a good relationship with him in the future.
Gary Hamilton, the current world featherweight champion who is challenging Mohammad Samir for the WKN light-welter belt, will also stay at the Hilton along side the Frenchman and Marvin Hagler in December.
