'It was a quaint little Irish Pub named
you have ever believed it! We were walking through Turin,
Italy and we ended up in Downpatrick, well not exactly - it
was a quaint little Irish Pub named Downpatrick.
Owner Luigi Sau was so smitten by the town of Downpatrick
and its kin folk on his travels many years ago that he promised
when he opened a bar in his home town of Turin that he would
create his own little Downpatrick in memory of the time he
spent in Ireland. It's a wonderful little Irish pub with true
Irish hospitality as he fed and watered us - I had the water,
the rest were sampling the Guinness and by the way - Yes,
it was after the fights. So if you are ever in Italy, especially
Turin, his opening hours are 5pm until 3am and its located
at Corso Franca, 1/E - Torino.
A big special thanks from all the team for the hospitality
and the true Italian/Irish welcome.
Luigi - We will
be back, on the 21st April when the open low leg kick European
championships will beheld in Turin and this time there will
be over fifty Irish men and Irish women will invade your bar
and drink you dry. Get ready for the invasion.
