Sunday at Prokick
It was a sense of Schools out for summer at Belfast Premier kickboxing school of excellence
Over 70 kids and adult from as young as 6 years-old up to 60 were tested in a series of moves.
The kickboxing wannabes travelled from all over the country to take a step up the ladder of excellence taking their grades from yellow, right up to junior black belts.
Congratulations was in order to all those who passed their grading, it’s a mark of their hard work, talent and application to the sport.
A grading is when kickboxing students, non-contact and contact, are assessed through a series of levels/grades, with the base level being white belt, through ten levels, finally reaching a Dan grade at black belt, which is equivalent, if you like, to a degree level in kickboxing. This type of achievement would take, on average, between six and eight years.
Big Congratulations to Abie Macartney and Louis Kincaid on reaching junior Black belt after 7 years at the Prokick gym.
Family members join in on the celebrations as they climb between the ropes.
