Sunday Afternoon at Prokick

Adults take a step up the ladder of kickboxing excellenceIt was a sense of Schools out for summer even though this was the adult grading at Belfast Premier kickboxing school of excellence
Over 30 adults were tested in a series of kickboxing moves.
The biggest shocker to the grading class was when local TV Celebrity Joe Lindsay walked into the class. There were whispers amongst the kickboxing students as to why Lindsay was there. When it was clear Mighty Joe was there for exactly the same as them, the class was set at ease and pleased to see him. After weeks of hard training at the Prokick gym, Joe Lindsay passed his first level with flying colours.
The kickboxing wannabes travelled from all over the country to take a step up the ladder of excellence taking their grades from yellow, to green belts.
Congratulations was in order to all those who passed their grading, it’s a mark of their hard work, talent and application to the sport.
A grading is when kickboxing students, non-contact and contact, are assessed through a series of levels/grades, with the base level being white belt, through ten levels, finally reaching a Dan grade at black belt, which is equivalent, if you like, to a degree level in kickboxing. This type of achievement would take, on average, between six and eight years.
