Karl McBlain (Northern Ireland) Vs Bogdan Bosoi (Cyprus)
Karl McBlain has been kickboxing for just over three years and now holds the WKN amateur Welterweight title at 67kg. The East Belfast man won the crown against local man and Cypriot champion Bogdan Bosoi by-way-of a spinning back kick in the 4th round. The Cypriot, Bosoi looked like he was facing a loss on his home turf as the Belfast man McBlain out worked Bosoi in every round however there was no need for the judges to tot up the scores, as in 1:45 of round No. 4 Karl walked Bosoi onto a devastating reverse back kick to the head which saw the referee wave the fight off without a count and call the doctor in immediately.
Thankfully Bosoi was up and about a few minutes after his knock-down to witness the vacant
European welterweight title belt go to the ProKick fighter from Belfast - Karl McBlain.
McBlain's record now stretches to 15 fights with just 2 losses.

Peter Rusk (Northern Ireland) Vs Gelas Tapatatze (Cyprus)

Peter Rusk (Northern Ireland) Vs Gelas Tapatatze (Cyprus)
Newtownards man Peter Rusk jetted in from Turkey where he now works - the former British champion was there just to support his team mates, but an opening for a fight came up and the ProKick man jumped in as there was a fight short on the fight-card. Rusk who was hoping to get a fight on the card jumped in at the chance to get into the ring again. Now i'm sure Peter wished he didn't take the fight as he was stopped in the 3rd. Peter was all over local man, Tapatatze in the first and in the in the second round right up to just 10 seconds remaining Peter was caught with some heavy shots from the smaller man which rocked him to his boots and In the third and final round Gelas Tapatatze came out with a blistering two handed assault which forced the referee Mr Peter Caprini to stop the fight to Peter's disbelief.
Main thing Peter was okay and in the next bout was taking some of these great Photo's on the web site.

Johnny Smith (Northern Ireland) Vs Kiriakos GIANGOU (Cyprus)
Johnny 'The GasMan' Smith was up next out of the ProKick corner and the popular Prokick fighter was up against the current champion, Kiriakos Giagou for the Super Welterweight WKN European title at 69.5kg.
First round started pretty even with both fighters scoring well, until the closing stages of the first round Smith was caught with a few punches that seem to take him out of his rhythm.
Round two Smith was finding it hard to adjust to Giagou style and was repeatedly getting hit with punches, Smith lost round 2.
In the third it was much of the same with Smith getting hit with punches and with nothing coming back it was if the Belfast fighter had run out of gas
It was the last round for Smith and his shot at the 69.5kg WKN European title and the only way he could win was by KO – Knowing this the GasMan really pushed forward displaying the better technique in the final round – jumping Knee, jump round kick and good boxing - Smith took the fight to the champion in the last round, No question this was Johnny's round. And now it was up to the judges which all three only seen it one way, in favour of the local man Kiriakos Giagou on a unanimous points decision.
Too much too late from Mr Smith but saying that it's a learning curve for the young ProKick fighter.

Ursula Agnew (Northern Ireland) Vs Maria Pantazi (Greece)
Last Fighter out of the Northern Irish corner was ProKick fighter Ursula Agnew who faced her toughest opponent to date, Maria Pantazi of Greece. Pantazi holds a fight CV that any fighter would be proud of - Maria is the current WKN European champion and this was a prestigious match over 4x2 minute rounds a non title bout. Agnew, a Lisburn mum of one was under pressure from the sound of the bell but fought back well landing a variety of her own strikes from Knee hand and foot but couldn't repel the onslaught from the Greek Time Bomb Maria Pantaz. The referee stepped in just 5 seconds before the round ended and called a halt to the scheduled four rounder
