Refereee David Irving scored the bout 98 - 95 in Gormans favour to the approval of the east Belfast man's supporters.

 Gorman paid respect to Kickboxer Hamilton saying "You can see why he's kickboxing world champion and to come from kickboxing to boxing isn't easy and I respect him as a fighter. I proved tonight that I'm more than a journeyman."
