While the pre-fight crowd are tucking into a big meal Gary will be waiting to make mincemeat out of his opponent, he wants to skip the starters and get stuck in. Judging by the excellent form he`s shown in recent training sessions Gary will taste victory before the night is over, he`s been there before and is keen to return.

Gary`s opponent will be Daniel ‘The Jet’ Zahra from Malta, current WKN Professional Light welterweight world title holder. The Jet better hold on tight to it over the 5×3 min rounds as Gary plans to come second to none while giving sports fans a night to remember.

2 days till KICKmas!  24 hours left on the clock and Ursula Agnew, WKN lightweight Amateur World Champion, has a present to give Marzia Vadala that`ll hit the spot

The ProKick Queen is busy wishing it could be KICKmas everyday but she`ll have to settle for one and we`re sure she`ll make the most of it. Having trained relentlessly over the past few weeks Ursula isn`t showing any signs of slowing her momentum and is in top form, the only thing that’s keeping her back now is the clock.

Ursula, who is sponsored by SAC Compliance, currently holds Celtic Nations, British, and European crowns, and while she loves to give generously every KICKmas her title is not what she has in mind. Her opponent Vadala will find out the hard way what Agnew plans to share when they step in the ring on Saturday night.

Tattooed Dragon Samantha Robb has just 3 days to wait for KICKmas! That’s a mere 72 hours until Samantha Robb, undefeated kickboxing champion of Prokick Gym Belfast, jingles a European Belle to hear the sound of success. at the Ulster Hall Saturday 14th December - are you one of the lucky ones who has a ticket?  

Samantha,  known as the “Tattooed Dragon from Tyrella Beach” Samantha was recently evaded by agreed opponent Mélissa Van Hulse of Belgium but a swift change of plan has secured a new opponent. Emilia Czerwinska from Poland, a World Silver medal winner, has been brave enough to accept the challenge.

Emilia is the current Polish kickboxing champion but we give her a snowballs chance of surviving the heat of the dragon. Samantha`s training regime has been as determined and focused as she is and we all know how at-home she looks in the ring. We`d wish Samantha every success on Saturday but she has that already, instead we`ll wish her another one!

KICKmas! 4 days til KICKmas and counting down

For Karl, WKN Amateur Light-Welterweight & Welterweight European Champion, Saturday means the opportunity to show the home-crowd, and his sponsors Belfast Insulation, just how hot things can get as he steps into the ring to make himself a present of the WKN Amateur Welterweight world title, by taking it from current champion  Kevin Burmester, Germany.

Recently training at ProKick Gym has been tougher work than usual, but nothing could be tougher for McBlain than having 1 lost fight out of 21 on his record - he never plans to let that happen again!   Even Santa`s little helpers aren`t working as hard as Team ProKick this week, and Karl certainly won`t be wasting any breath on Christmas carols over the next few days, he`ll let the fat lady sing his praises - when it`s over.

5 days till KICKmas! One working week to go and for Johnny Smith, a title contender from the ProKick gym. Smith promises to swoop from the heavens, with wings as hammers, with eyes as flames and feet of thunder. It just can`t come soon enough for the high-flying Smith, he is more than ready for an epic battle against Nunzio Zambataro of Belgium.

Johnny `The Gas Man` Smith plans to win the WKN Amateur Super Welterweight International title in style. Johnny was out of action for a while due to injuries but has worked hard alongside his sponsors, CrossFit Resplendent, a family-owned gym based in Newtownards Co.Down, to maximize his overall fitness and get his speed and endurance back where he wants it.
As excitement builds over the next few days Johnny will keep his usual level head and remain focused, being out of operation for a while has been frustrating for the Gas Man and it means everything to be back there again. Time may seem to stand still in the ring but Johnny certainly won`t, not when he`s chasing his dream.

6 days till KICKmas! With half a dozen days left and the geese already a-laying Darren McMullan is ready to collect his hard-boiled world title. Darren, also known as `The Ice Man` hasn’t been stored at chill temperature, it’s been full steam ahead for the past couple of months and there`s no sign of slowing `’til the final bell rings.
Darren is a current Amateur Middleweight British & Intercontinental Full Contact Champion, he`ll go up against Sasha Alexander from Ukraine for 5x2 minute rounds to retain his Middleweight title.

The fourth day of KICKmas sees Alex training with a new intensity that is impressing anyone. Alex now nows he can't be sitting about to rest on his laurels as he is finding that all his hard work is paying dividends as he leaves the gym looking more.

The Romanian chef, turned kickboxer, will take on Brandon Spiteri from Malta for 4x2 minute rounds under K1 Style Oriental rules in a bid to secure the WKN Amateur Light heavyweight European title.

10 days till KICKmas…and Davy Foster is counting down the hours til he can get in the ring and do his thing. Davy, a full-time tiler, father of five girls, and British/European title contender is a feast for the eyes, his combos are speedy, precise, and bang on target every time, the weighing scales are singing all the right notes and Davy has never looked better, leaner, or meaner!

The Ballynahinch kickboxer will compete against the current British WKN champion Martin Young from Scotland. the match is over 4x2 minute rounds under full-contact rules, the only Full-Contact bout on the KICKmas show. He plans to give his family, friends, and supporters from ProKick Gym a dazzling display of skill and sportsmanship before getting his hands on the prize.

KICKmas! 11 Days till KICKmas and counting!

On the second day of KICKmas Prokick sent to me…Cleto Reyes gloves and a ticket to a show that I must see….KICKmas! 11 Days till KICKmas and counting!

This morning saw another 6am start for Team ProKick as they continued their round-the-clock training regime. While the rest of Belfast pulled the covers close for more slumber these guys and girls have up been doing what sets the winners apart – training, more training, then training some more.

ProKick Coach Billy Murray isn’t keen to share the KICKmas programme his fighters have been following but he is more than happy to show the results, and if you`re lucky enough to have a ticket you get to see it all yourself. With most of the seats now sold it won`t be long before it’s a full house, if there`s a friend or family member wavering tell them it`s make up your mind time.

Christmas is all about giving, so is KICKmas and Team ProKick will be giving every round their best shots, and getting the best decisions in return. Be part of it!

On the first day of KICKmas Prokick sent to me… A ticket to a show that I must see - KICKmas! 12 Days till KICKmas and counting!

Now that the fighters from ProKick are on the final stretch and finished their training, they can sit back for the next week or so, put their feet up, and look forward to the show like the rest of us.

But lo and behold! They`re not a restful bunch and instead have opted to attend Bootcamp every morning this week at 6am! That’s dedication for you. Knowing Prokick training standards the team will be in great shape and ready well in advance of the 14th December to bring those titles back to ProKick, The Home of Champions.

The atmosphere in the gym at the moment is full of energy and excitement in the build-up to the Ulster Hall event and with approx. 100 tickets left there`s going to be a full house, that’s a lot of support for the fighters, both home-grown and international.
