He was given a lesson in manners Ulster Style, so what does the Jackal do now? Scott Quigg is still busting for the fight next, no surprise there, Quigg seems like a nice young man, there was obvious friendship and respect between him and Carl in the ring post fight but he needs the fight much more than Carl. I follow boxing and can't recall who he has fought of any note since being WBA ( regular champion) whatever that means.
Santa Cruz is the big fight for Carl for World Acclaim , Fame and the financial rewards that go with it , and 99% of Americans wouldn't have a clue who Scott Quigg is.
To me it's a no brainer but perhaps Cruz may no longer be keen to put his Titles on the line against Carl. No doubt the movers and shakers of World Boxing will have the final say in who fights who, what fight fans and boxers want come way down the list, Pay per View Channels and the American TV giants will decide and the Mc Guigan and Hearn Camps sensibly go with the money and look after their own fighters , I think a domestic fight is now further away than ever.
So, a fantastic display by young Carl, many Congratulations you looked stunning , enjoy your Pavlova.

Hi
More tension between the Mc Guigan camp and Hearn camp today, in what appears to be a deliberate publicity stunt to goad Frampton/ Mc Guigan camp , Scott Quigg is posing with a cheque for £ 1.5 Million made out to Frampton to take Hearns offer of a mid July fight on Sky, Pay per view.
Mc Guigan has responded by stating Hearn knows our position , a joint promotion, this is what we were negotiating towards, this comes after Gallagher , Quiggs trainer , said end of March was cut of date for negotiations . So we are back to square 1 as I predicted, both fighters have different promoters with loyalties to opposing Media giants, Sky and ITV, sò as no progress seems to have been madeHearn has embarked on this latest publicity stunt which can only serve to make the Mc Guigan camp more entrenched in their position. Billy Joe Saunders meanwhile neatly ambushed Chris Eubank jnr at his press conference on 2nd April . Eubank was discussing possible opponents for the Wembley Arena show when Saunders challenged him to rematch on the night. Frank Warren , was clearly stunned as was Eubank , Warren quickly composed himself to say Wembley Arena wasn’ t a big enough venue for the fight and is trying to get a Stadium sorted for the showdown, so it would appear Cork man Gary O’Sullivan is going to be denied his big fight night.
So, fun and games as usual in the fight game, promoters and fighters continue to spit out the dummy and throw up surprises and the press and fans are always playing catch up. Regards.
