Pete Foley added - All three of us thought it sounded like a good idea to at least try and get us all together in the one room and see if we could come with any useful ideas about the future of our game.
This has never been done before (at least not to such an extent) so it will really depend on everybody putting their differences to one side just for one day at least and hopefully come up with a formula to help us all work together.
We currently have in Ireland the following Associations:
AKAI, ISKA, IKF (IRISH & INTERNATIONAL), WKN, WAKO, WUMA ETC.
Please take note that this meeting will not infringe on anybodys affairs and there will be a "Round Table" scenario (no bosses) with a chairperson to ensure that everyone gets their say with no interruptions.
As we are all aware, promoters need fighters and vice versa and there is an abundance of fighters of all weights and levels of experience in this country and it might be a good idea to open the floodgates to all concerned.
Mr. Corwell suggested that we pick a neutral venue in the centre of Ireland and we came up with Athlone as its slap bang in the middle so hopefully it will suit most people.
The venue we hope to have for the meeting is "The Hudson Bay Hotel, Athlone" and the date is Saturday September 6th at 4pm (please arrive 30 mins beforehand) - this is just before the Season kicks off in earnest again and hopefully it won't clash with anybodys plans.
Mr. Corwell has promised to give us the backing of the Irish Fighter Magazine and there will be a professional photographer in attendance to take a picture of all concerned.
I would very much appreciate if you would please reply to this email to confirm that you can or cannot attend just so we can have an indication of numbers for the hotel and please feel free to bring as many people from your club/assoc as you wish.
We feel that this could be a pivitol turning point in the history of Irish Kickboxing and I would like to thank you all in advance for your co-operation and hope to see you on September 6th.
Please forward this email to your contacts.
Yours in Sport,
Pete Foley.

This is a message from Mr Peter Foley in Galway, South of Ireland:
I was recently speaking to Martin (Frick) Mc Mahon (AKAI President) and Rob Corwell (Owner/Editor of Irish Fighter Magazine) and Rob suggested we call a meeting of All FC Coaches/Promoters Nationwide to have an informal chat about the state of Full Contact kickboxing in Ireland.
