Alex, who will turn 8 next month, finally got his hands on his trophy at his Tuesday class.
A pupil at Forge Integrated School in Belfast, Alex attended his first kickboxing class on his sixth birthday but has been a familiar face in the gym since he was able to crawl – often sitting on our old carpeted floor while his dad trained with coach Murray.
In fact, we also came across a picture of Alex in Prokick showing a promising right hook when he was just 3!

Alex McGreevy, pictured with his proud dad Alex, was so keen to get to his friends birthday party at the weekend, he burst out of the Prokick Gym without collecting his Fun Day trophy. Alex came joint-first in the Prokick Says event – a scrutinised test of kickboxing skill under the eye of head coach Billy Murray.
