Alex Reid had described it as ‘the fight of his life’ and Katie Price’s husband had been training for months all across the globe in order to have a chance to prove he was a serious Mixed Martial Arts fighter and not simply a ‘celebrity’.
Well, he done just that on Saturday night, after going five-five minute rounds with the current BAMMA champion Tom ‘Kong’ Watson, who beat ‘The Reidinator’, but only on a close judge’s decision.
Reid started faster as he came out stronger and looked every bit the fighter he claimed he would be and fighting at distance which worked well at least the first couple of rounds, but from the third on Watson’s stamina coupled with his fight strategy changed the dynamics of the fight which at times made Reid look limited.
To Alex's credit, he fought the full 5 rounds, which saw both he and his opponent finish beaten and bloodied. Reid has really earned the respect of both Watson and MMA and fight fans.
Well done Alex Reid, the Celebrity and the Fighter!

Great fight and both fighter were amazing and well done to Alex he took all the kicks and punches given by his opponent and still stayed the 5 rounds and it was lovely seeing the respect they both had for each other at the end, loved every minute of it.
