The two heavyweight greats will meet at the MGM Grand Arena on December 30th in a 5 round non-title fight that will be the headlining event of a yet un-named UFC event. Negociations were under way for a time with both Strike Force and UFC but the deal clincher for the move to UFC seems to be that Overeem will get an immediate title shot from the winner the Cain Velasquez Vs Junior Dos Santos match up on Nov 12th.
Lesnar has been out for quite some time, first from a loss to Velasquez in a 1st TKO then he came down with a severe intestinal disorder but Overeem states that he is aware that Brock will be coming in ready to fight and says his UFC debut will certainly be a fight that the fans will love. He states, "I'm very excited to fight Brock. He's a big guy. We have different styles. I think it's going to be very exciting for fans."
