I watched Randy Couture in the Octagon recently on TV . The fight went the distance, i think it was four rounds , and they both went at it toe to toe, hammer and tongs right from from the first round…lung bursting , gut wrenching, stamina sapping, full on and flat out .
Randy Coutures opponent was looking for the take down when Randy landed some telling shots , and it was a very even contest . This fight had it all, good combinations , good timing, and some great kicks . It was a shame for me it ended up ‘a ground and pound fight’, which suited Randys opponent more .
There is always something for us to take out of these guys skills…...especially when they are 46 like Randy Coutoure with the drive, energy and enthusiasm of a 26 year old !!
