Kurtis is in just his 4th week of the second half of the first syllabus level at ProKick HQ and showed his skill by not only beating his fellow class mates but also putting to shame some of ProKick's experienced competitors. ProKick says is a test that can randomly be thrown into the mix at any time during the advanced beginners course to test the budding students and help them assess how they are progressing within the sport before they attempt the grading for their first syllabus level. The game follows the old "Simon Says" format but is a tried and tested way of helping the beginner kickboxers improve their co-ordination and technique.

Kurtis got into kickboxing mainly because he always had interest in sport and lives close by Prokick HQ but football and work played a part in the late start to his joining. Kurtis is the third Gillespie brother to train at ProKick, older brothers Marc and Craig train here also. Kurtis works on the Belmont road in a local popular supermarket and therefore has no excuses for being late for training!

A massive well done to Kurtis for winning the competition. If you or anyone you know would be interested in finding out more about starting beginner kickboxing classes in your area, telephone the gym on (028) 9065 1074 or email your details to info@prokick.com and a member of the ProKick team will get back to you.
