Big time Boxing is back in Belfast on September Saturday 22nd at Odyssey Arena, Belfast.
"It's going to be a great fight and a great occasion, and the kind of big night that Belfast fans love," Frampton said. "I know he's a great fighter, but I believe that I will beat him."
Manager and former world champion Barry McGuigan is right behind his man. Mr McGuigan said: "Kiko is an exceptional fighter, a world class puncher and has a good chin, but we're convinced Carl can win.
"We're certainly not underestimating him by any means, but I believe Frampton is better than him in every department and he will show it."
Martinez hit back and certainly will not be fazed by the occasion in Belfast.
"Frampton is a good fighter, but I am the champion and I will retain the belt."
The undercard will include some of Northern Ireland's top boxing talent - Dungiven southpaw Paul McCloskey, Commonwealth gold medallist Eamonn O'Kane, former British featherweight champion Martin Lindsay and unbeaten flyweight, Jamie Conlan.
