'A Victory Without Danger Is A Triumph Without Glory'....this is the signature motto of the Bigger's Better Boxing promotional team as they set out to prove that the big men still have what it takes to thrill a crowd as only entrants from the Light-Heavyweight and Heavyweight divisions of their respective sports are eligible to compete.

But no matter what style you hail from, no feet, knees or elbows will be used in this tournament as only boxing techniques are to be used. There has been moments of controversy in several boxing circles in the past as to whether or not fighters from the similar weight divisions could cut it in one or the other. Bigger's Better Boxing aim to find out just that. Will it be the superior speed, ringcraft and tactics of the Light-Heavyweight fighters that will shine or will the strength and brute force of the Heavyweights sieze the day?

When asked why even create an event such as this, especially with some extremely high profile heavyweight boxers hitting the headlines to date, the BBB promotions team stated that "Since the heavy meddling of the alphabets boys and the creation, in the 1960s, of an endless number of weight classes and champions, the public is confused and has come to be disillusioned with boxing. It’s time to go back to the 1909 national London sporting club rule and to abide by the 1920 New York athletic commission like law. We are going back to the roots of boxing. No more cruiserweight: but one division from light heavyweight to heavyweight."

The event will be shown live on Eurosport from 8pm GMT and the undercard will include several WKN Kick and Thai-Boxing Championship fights.
