Billy was born in Belfast on October 3, 1935 and trained in the Belfast shipyard as a steel erector. He started working on his own at 21 and built up a thriving family business over the next 50 years and more.

Proud Father Billy Murray Snr with son Billy in Medway street almost 50 years ago.He was a loving husband, a devoted father of six, loyal brother to Betty and Sammy, a joyful grandfather 16 times and great grandfather 11 times. He was a caring uncle, cousin and friend to many.

The family wish to thank Marie Curie Cancer Trust in Belfast for their remarkable round the clock care during Billy Snr’s final days. They also want to thank the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, ward 11.

 

The funeral service will be held at the Christ Church, Church of Ireland, Woburn Corrowdore, Co. Down on Saturday June 28 at 2pm – all are welcome.
