Day 5 - Started with 5 on the missing list. Which is a shame as after doing the whole week, it is a disappointment not to do the final day. Well done to all who didn't miss a class this week at all nor where late and for those who did miss without prior arrangements - pay the levy required.
Davy Foster was man of the day with 2 consistent sprints at 2.04 and on top of that has lost 2.8 kilos which brings him down to 68 kilo. The loss brings him almost on target for a fight weight of 67kilo. Some are saying how did he lose nearly 3 kilo on a frame which carries a low body fat? Well the Boot Camp and the extra training that he's excelled himself in has done just that.
A great week of training by all who attended. Please note those who don't attend the boot camp will not compete on the Next generation event in April.
Tickets are on sale for the event from tonight.
Details of our next Bot Camp - Monday 22nd - Friday 26th. Any other ProKick members that wish to join can complete a form at reception.
For those who noted the Master Masterson has been subdued in his hollering this was due to a rib injury and any strain causes him pain. Poor him!
Day 4 - Thursday Feb 11th. Well no more piggybacks thank you very much, and where was the man who instigated them yesterday? (We’ll come back to him) At the start of today’s training most of the Campers looked as if they hit ‘ The Wall’ as they seemed underpowered. Were they just here in body and wish they were back in bed.
The only thing that was hard-ish at today’s BBC was the press-ups the rest seemed to be a doddle. The morning was spent on laps and one sprint and with no one failing to beat or match previous times it was an early finish to this the penultimate day of week No3 of Billy’s Boot Camp’!
Star of the day on sprints was 21 year-old Chris Cullen with a best time of 2:02.
Well done everyone who turned up on this cold and frosty morning. Which brings me aptly back to the missing in action – WILLIAMMMMM where were you? The most hated man in camp yesterday ( Joke not yet anyways) Thanks for the idea’s about Piggyback running in ‘bare feet’ will speak to the Master Masterson on that one, and if not too cold, could use that to finish tomorrow....if you’re there! Seven others were missing from today’s Boot Camp – names to follow.
The final day of No.3 Camp 2010 is at 6am Friday the 12th February......DONT be late!!
Day 3 - Wednesday Feb 10th. Today was a milestone at Boot Camp as all the Kickers kicked high with ALL beating their personal sprint times..Well done everyone. Star of the day on sprints was 19 year-old Mark Bird with a best time of 1:58.
Tough floor work and then..... thanks to William for the idea of a Piggyback races around the block,GREAT STUFF.Sorry to disappoint Will, but we have done that before but we're glad you mentioned it and yes 2 laps tomorrow. We've never done that, so thanks! Winners of the piggyback race was Andrew and David in under 5 minutes. Three on the missing list - come on Gilbert get back tomorrow and finish the rest of the week. No one late today.
Day 2 – four on the missing list this morning including Gilbert Yates who’s one day show at the boot camp must have been too much, come on Gilbert get back tomorrow. It was sit ups and piggybacks today as the boot campers started to get into full stride. Last night Mr Murray was informed that Mary Patterson was withdrawing from the Next Generation event due to health issues,( Get well soon Mary) That makes a total of 4 who have dropped out so far. Hopefully they will get another shot in the future to fulfil their ambition of climbing into the ring.
Anyway back to the boot camp – just 5 didn’t beat their sprint times today in the sprints. Rocki Desi and Gary Fullerton were thrown out for talking too much – Gary said it was Desi’s fault however both blamed it on Vikki for smiling, prompting them to ask her what she was smiling at resulting in both being thrown out to run laps.Yes if you are thinking about doing boot camp remember it is strict.
Ernest Bickerstaff was back in action after 'Holding his hands up and saying 'no excuse, sorry!... for missing Monday’s boot camp.Gareth Millar was back in action after he too missed Mondays camp, he just smiled - I think M & M will have the last smile Gareth.
Good luck to fighter Karl McBlain who is in hospital today for an operation on his shoulder in an unrelated injury to kickboxing. We all wish him well and hope to see him back at boot camp soon.
32 in attendance
Day 1 - training was tough on the first opening day of number three boot camp, sprints were the order of the day and only 3 out of 32 beat their sprints times and were excused of the final lap around the gym. 7 of the next generation competitors failed to show with 2 coming in late. Greig Anderson was 1 minute late and yes folks he actually made this boot camp today even though he was 7 minutes late, Gilbert Yates, 4 boot camps later and he makes and appearance, the old saying better late than never,
6 new starts attended the boot camp for the first time, lets hope they stick it out.

Marks record time of 1:58 is simply Amazing, wow he must have just been a blip on the horizon and knocks ten bells outa my best of 2:08, but it shows us all just what can be acheived..
