Day 3 - 17 turned up today out of a possible 32. Today was an easy day, physically than any other boot camp day, it was more of a lesson on evasive techniques. No runs, no sprints but be sure that is going to change tomorrow. Tomorrow's boot camp is the last of this week but we will do a day next week where we will all meet up and make up for lost time. A vote will be taken tomorrow to see what day suits all. Mr Best was back after his marathon, well, mini-marathon. A few others back, too many to mention who were missing is more the issue.
Darren McMullen made his excuses at 5.25am this morning (Thanks, Darren, that got meup!) Hurt his foot in sparring and wasn't able to do any exercise today but did mange to due the 'dutiful team-mate' favour and collect young Andrew Duffin, but Andrew didn't show. Must have had a tough night at sparring...Amy-Lee whining as usual about how she can't get to grasps with the evaisve techniques. Don't worry, you soon will when you get punched a few more times. She made her excuses about not coming in tomorrow for boot camp as she had to finish off the last chapter of Katy Price's autobiography (so Simon says). Let us know how it turns out..
Day 2 - Four new boot campers joined the ranks today - escuses given for yesterday were: marathon running and fun runs. Oh yeah and sore legs.
That didn't deter Davy Jones however. The man who never misses boot camp.
Change of plan today for training, body boxing, bag work, pad work and hand drills were the order of the day.
One late commer to the camp, Andrew Duffin was 5 minutes late, no buses from Ballybeen until 6am in his wisdom and not wanting to be late he ran from Ballybeen to the club., Forward planning and preparation is everything Andrew, you will learn this over the next 8 weeks. But well done for making it to the gym.
Marathon man Darren Mcmullan was also back, sore legs but not after 26 miles, he only managed 7 miles. and gave young Andrew a lift home.
Day 1 - 18 turned up today and there was 14 on the missing list. The first day entailed floor work, sprints in the gym, shadow boxing and exercises along with a partner, finished off with a few laps.
A big shout out to Mr Davy Jones who has never missed a Boot Camp since he started at the gym, not one day, minute and yes folks never late nor does he complain.
The shout out is because yesterday he ran 26 miles in 3 hours and 23 minutes to be precise. Congratulations and he was in severe pain this morning yet still managed to do the Boot Camp.
Take note you young uo-n-coming wannabe fighters.
