DAY 5 - The Final day of Week 2
The final day started like any other day at an Extreme 'Boot Camp' - Full-Throttle, the high-kickers were informed they were expected to beat they're personal sprint times and 22 for the 28 who turned up, did just that! After the shocker and heart rates through the roof the pace was set for the rest of the cold and damp morning at Camp.

However, temperatures were high inside the rickety old but practical gym. Fast punching work, Floor work, laps of the Gym, and another chance for those who didn't beat their sprint times to do just that.

Disappointments, Stephen Houston missing for a second day after stating he would attend after he missed Thursday, Boot Camp. No shows again from Alex McGreevy, Nula Ward, David Hunsdale and Stuart Boyd.
Mary Patterson turned up 30 mins late whilst Johnny Smith (The Gas Man) was 15 mins late.

Well done to all the injured kickers who battle through the pain barrier to attend, Andrew McLaughlin, Gary Fullerton, Alister Porteous and Mark Bird.

Over all a very good Boot Camp for the second time this year with a few surprises along the way.

Bring on Week 3 starting Monday 8th-to-12th February 2010

DAY 4 - The penultimate day of the second Boot Camp of 2010 had a few surprises - 7 were missing the action with excuses from sore shoulders, sore knees, sore back to no excuse slept in.
Named and shamed are Stephen Houston, Darren McMullen, Mary Patterson, Andrew McLaughlin, Alex McGreevy, Chris Cullen and Stuart Boyd.

The order of the day was circuit training and explosive pad work. The sprint laps today were a disaster with only one third of the camp matching or beating their times unlike yesterday every person beat their time.

Get ready for Friday the final day and don't worry it will be just as easy as the rest of the week, with a few surprises thrown in.

Team members with sore legs, back, shoulders etc be there for alternative exercising.

DAY 3 - Two days is a row all 31 fitness mad fanatics beat or matched their speed laps yet again. The star of the day was young Mark Bird who broke the 2 minute lap by coming in at 1.59. Young David Bird was excused a days training and was told to rest as he has a championship cross country race this afternoon but the young enthusiast refused to let brother Mark come on his own and didnt want to miss out in any of the drills.

Boot Camp worked exceptionally hard said Mr M & M. The intensity that the group displayed was tremendous lets hope they keep it up for the rest of the week.

Missing in action was - Alex McGreevy, Who was missing for a third day after stating on Tuesday night he would be back first thing Wednesday morning, dissapointing. Jim Weir missing for a second day along with Stuart Boyd who hasn't turned in all week without contacting the gym. Nuala Ward failed to show for the second time this week. First day she was working late but no excuse this time.

DAY 2  - and already the bar was raised with a slight change and step up in training as the ProKick team all hit gold in their spints. The early morning kickers stepped up their running with each member beating their sprint time from yesterday. Quickly followed by floor work, circuit training and fast explosive bxing work. The morning was finished off with some feeling slightly dizzy as they experienced equilibrium training.Prokick style equilibrium training. Asymmetrical equilibrium training minimizes the proprioceptive input, emphasizing the role of the biomechanical component in postural regulation.Which in Laymans terms - means to help deal with recovery from a knockdown blow or any imbalance in the ring.

Amongst the missing - Stuart Boyd for a second day with no explanation, along with Alex McGreevy - until the afternoon  Mr McGreevy reported in and informed Murrayatchi 'he will be back' ...Tomorrow! Tough, £20 fine each. Jim Weir was missing too. John Gillespie has pulled out (work commitments). Our new heavyweight Ernest Bickerstaff, and our new female up-n-coming star Nuala Ward were both back. (Fined as well). Nuala was also late, along with Will Greenham- (Fined)

33 brave recruits braved the cold weather on Tuesday
