Best’s coach, former world champion Billy Murray, said: “This heavyweight showdown between Kenneth and Paul is going to be explosive. They are two big men seeking to make a mark in the sport.”

Paul, a former rugby player with Cooke, only began kickboxing earlier this year – in response to a bet laid down on his 30th birthday.

He said: “A pal of mine was bantering me on my birthday, saying I would never be able to compete in sport again because I was too old. I always liked martial arts and kickboxing and noticed that there didn’t seem to be any age restrictions.

“I didn’t intend to go into competitive kickboxing so soon but the bug bit me straight away; I couldn’t wait to compete after a few sparring sessions.”

Okungbowa, based at Athlone Boxing Club, became the first member of it to lift an All-Ireland title. He defeated Galway’s Mike Ward to take the honour.

Okungbowa will join Prokick fighters Peter Rusk, Gary Fullerton, Paul Best, David Foster, Karl McBlain, Darren McMullan, Johnny Smith, Stuart Jess and Ursula Agnew on the October 30th fancy dress bill.

Limited tickets remain and are priced at £20 and £30, along with limited £50 VIP ringside tickets that come with a champagne reception, Fright Night goodie bag and post-fight party invitation.
