Unfortunately this could be classed as a mismatch as thousands of pundits across the world are saying that it is.
We've got to remember that this is two completely different sports where one fighter conforms to another's rules form.
It was muted around the world that it was the boxer against the martial artist MMA fighter and when it hits the ground, really the trained MMA fighter will have an enormous advantage.
How would Couture fair if he met Toney or someone of the same standing in a boxing match? Undoubtedly he would be out boxed and also finished in the first round.This would be something that I'm sure the fight fans would like to see, lets see if Randy will entertain this idea in the very near future as many acros the world are now calling for.

I think the important thing to remember is Toney called out the fighters, naming a few he wanted to fight. He wanted to transition into MMA. Dana White knew what the outcome of this match was going to be from the get go, as I am sure the majority of fans from both disciplines.
Randy does not have to prove anything by stepping into a boxing ring with Toney. Randy has never claimed to be a boxer and has never said he would be able to walk into a boxing ring and beat the best. Toney said this about MMA and we seen what happened.
