The 23-year-old, who drew with French champion Tajani Abdeljalil in Switzerland earlier this month, said that result gives him the confidence required for his Fright Night showdown on October 30.
He added: “It was a great experience fighting in Switzerland but to then put in a good performance and draw with the French champion, who is also more experienced than me, told me that I am on the right track.

“I haven’t had time to dwell on the last fight because this one has come around so soon and I am excited about fighting at home.” Known to his Prokick stable-mates as Iceman because he rarely shows his emotion, Darren has enjoyed an upturn in fight fortune with recent wins in Scotland and England and that stalemate with Abdeljalil.

Darren will be joined by Prokick fighters Peter Rusk, Paul Best, David Foster, Karl McBlain, Gary Fullerton, Johnny Smith, Stuart Jess and Ursula Agnew on the October 30 fancy dress bill.

Limited tickets remain and are priced at £20 and £30, along with limited £50 VIP ringside tickets that come with a champagne reception, Fright Night goodie bag and post-fight party invitation.
