Belfast's Billy Murray was in Geneva recently on a whistle-stop tour with Co founder of 'The Peace Fighters' Mr Carl Emery to discuss the appearance of the Peace fighters at the International Day of Peace in Geneva on September 21st.
The team will be made up of kickboxers from North and south of Ireland, Switzerland and other countries will take part in a kickboxing demonstration at the Palais Des Nations.
The peace fighters were launched at the UNICEF HQ in Switzerland. Murray and Emery's Fighting For Peace programme was officially launched in front of an impressive array of diplomats, senior politicians and international press.
The Director of UNICEF, Irish Ambassador, British Ambassador, current and past British consul generals – and topping that the initiative received a personal message from the President of Ireland Mary McAleese.
Now the Peace Fighters are setting up for an even bigger day at the UN's 'Day of Peace' - more on this later....
