Four fighters from the ProKick stable headed to the Shane Lynch promoted event in Dublin but only two entered the ring. Upon the teams arrival in Dublin they were informed that Anne Gallagher's opponent didn't show because of an eye injury. Also young David Bird was let down again, his fighter never showed travelling from Kilkenny, informing the promoter that he didn't turn up because he was 64 kilo when the match was made at 58kilo.
Originally on the card where Pawel Gorka and Stuart Jess’ however Gorka’s opponent damaged his knee the day before the event and Jess’ opponent tipped the scales at 75 kilo in an arranged 70kg fight. A weigh-in was scheduled in Newry the night before the event but as they didn’t make the weight it was cancelled.
ProKick's Gary Fullerton had withdrawn due to an ankle problem.
It’s unfortunate as Jess and Gorka had taken time of work and lost more than not fighting. However this sometimes happens in the fight game but that’s the joys of being a promoter. Well done to Shane Lynch on his first promotion.
