It was the Last day of the 3rd week of Billy's Boot Camp - Jan 2011 - detail will follow below later:-

News from this morning Boot Camp -  last day Friday 21st Jan will be post soon..Records were broken in this Boot camp!

Week 3 - Day 4: Tonight is the last night that Prokickers will go to sleep terrified of things that go bump in the night - or more terrified that their alarm doesn't go off in the morning to awake them for Billy's Boot Camp. Yes folks, Friday morning is the final day of the 3 week stint that has saw sprints, running around east Belfast, pad work, circuit training, extreme fitness endurance tests and much, much more in the line of fitness.

But before tomorrow was today and the boot campers endured the dreaded laps in the freezing cold with no times broke. (there's always tomorrow) four were missing without leave. Shame on them.

Fast circuit training and floor exercises fininshed off the mornings work.

Week 3 - Day3: Full Boot Camp today - well, if we take the four sick notes into consideration from poorly Campers that is!

21 fitness mad kickers got up early to endure the cold and be put through a gruelling 45 minutes of pure fitness kickboxing Boot camp style.

No one was late however Darren McMullen put in to question and contested Mr Murray's clock - saying he was starting too early and that his timings are wrong.
Murray's retort: Darren my phone is set once a week with GMT and from their web site, after your claims of foul play this morning I checked it again today and yes you were right, it was wrong - but slow by 3 seconds!

Johnny Wightman was back and stated that Carl, his brother got it wrong and that he was working yesterday - who to believe? Or should we just fine him and Darren anyway????

Week 3 - Day2: Better numbers today for Day 2 of week 3 as 20 turn-up for extreme exercising 'Boot Camp style' There are still a few on the missing list from those who originally sign-up.

Action from Billy's Boot Camp 2011
Training was what most champers muted - the toughest to date - with floor work, early morning body boxing, circuit training on bags, runs, and fast hand drills.

Hot gossip:

Johnny Wightman's brother Carl spilled the beans on Bro Johnny saying that he wasn't at work this morning and that he wass just busted and to tired and couldn't face Boot camp ! You're in soapy-bubble now Mr JW

Lyndsay McMullen was overheard saying: that she needs to phone her baby brother Darren ( a ProKick fighter aged 28) 30 times every morning to get him out-of-bed and up in time for Boot Camp - well it's not working Lyndsay as younger brother has been late the last two mornings , (Fines were paid this morning). What do you think of that Campers? Finally when he came in 3 minutes late the class were given the option to let him stay in the gym in the warm or out in the cold and do laps - Karl McBian shouted out first ' Runs...he shouted! Fire him out for being late! Beware if you're late tomorrow, Karl has no mercy!

By-the-way there is no way Lyndsay is older then Darren!

Week 3 - Day 1: Day one in the olde rickety Prokick house. Just 16 out of the original 23 turned up. Colds, flu's and aches and pains to those who just couldn't be bothered where among the excuses given.

The camp started with a few shadowboxing warm-ups, a little bit of light stretching and off the campers set. right down the Newtownards Road. Some with a spring in their step whilst others struggled.

Back to the gym for floor exercises and ten homeward bound. Except for a few who done extra laps as punishment for being a bit lippy.

Week 2 - Day 4: This morning there were no sprints which everyone was very glad about. There were howver, plenty ofother things to tire the campers out including a long run around east Belfast. And a 20 minute non stop circuit with 1 minute stations.

an unbelievable 6 were missing today - pay up guys!

Enjoy the next few days off to revitalise and rejuvenate ahead of the 5 day non stop exercise plan to reduce bellys, delay old age and put the spring back into your step. Just look at Desi.

Happy Birthday to Gary Fullerton who has reached a grand old age of 47, he is catching up with Rocki Desi.

WEEK 2 - DAY 3:  Just 4 missing from action - sprints today with no record breakers on the team. Are the early mornings starting to take their toll on the kickboxing wannabes? Let's hope not as although they get a break after tomorrow morning there is another week of early morning treaining starting on Monday.

The second week second day of boot campers in 2011 - Yeeha Medicine ball work. WEEK 2 -  DAY 2 : 19 showed up this morning with two people phoning in to the gym last night -  off with illness ( get well soon guys) - the rest... a tenner fine! After all it is boot camp and the best punishment is on the pocket, don't you believe!?

The order of the day was shadowboxing to warm up, followed by star jumps, press-ups and floor work. Circle work with the medicine balls, (whoever dropped the ball was fired out the door for laps) a total of 6 people where fired out the door to do the laps, Michael Swann answered back saying that he didnt drop it and as a result received extra laps. (there's a lesson to be learnt there! )

Forgot to mention yesterday that ProKick's legend Mr Rocki Desi (75 year old, who also celebrated his birthday yesterday) returned. The fit as a fiddle kicboxing black belt racked up 5 laps ahead of the boot camp just to warm up (He can show the younguns a few tricks of the trade)

It was muted that we would run into the City centre, this rumour may have started falsely by a certain member but will there now be truth to it? Don't rule it out guys as it may happen. What a good idea from whoever started it.

 WEEK 2 - Day1:

Body boxing at 6am - yes a bit of fun at boot camp

26 signed up 23 turned out, a good-ish start to the week. Training, laps, sprints more laps and a royal rumble in the ring for the last man standing. Best sprinter today was Johnny Smith the gas man - the slowest, we'll not say. The  kickboxing hopefuls were all wide-eyed and ready for action. This is the type of thing that needs to be done if you want to get in shape or even become a champion! Would you be prepared to do it, or would you like to take part in the next Boot Camp?

WEEK1

DAY 3: The final day of the first Boot Camp in 2011 and a few surprises at that - I need to start with the fastest sprint in the history of laps around the gym. Congratulations to Darren McMullen an unbelievable time of 1:51 and yes in these treacherous weather conditions at that - if that was not enough his second lap was 1:56. There were calls and talk amongst other campers to have him tested.. Well done the new sprinter on the Block!

Five on the missing list of which three ask for time off due to work commitments - three late comers, even 30 seconds is late Mr F - not a fiver but a 10er fine and you know what for. The new king sprinter Mr McM said , "late is late if it is 5 seconds you are still late." He added " we are always informed starting time is 6am , not dander in at 6am or shortly after what type of preparation is that!? Just look at my times, I don't get them by labouring in - I'm here warmed up 'raring to go! Bring on the next Boot Camp.

Next Camp starts Tuesday  11th Jan for four days straight. Have you got what it takes? Or better still do you want to be fit, if the answer is yes! Then sign-up you owe it to yourself.

Tough training at boot camp

DAY 2: Twenty-six put their names down for Boot Camp

however only 18 turned up the first day and today (Tuesday) 16 showed-up with two new Boot Campers - with 8 Campers still on the missing list.

Today's camp concentrated on shadow-boxing, press ups, sit-up and more sit-ups and more of the same, a few different variations of the said. Followed by hard and fast shadowboxing. No spins on the floor just yet ( Week 2) and a run around the east of the city of Belfast with piggy backs up the long hill heading up the Upper-Newtownards Rd. That was the next order of the day.  No sprints today!

First day of Boot Camp in 2011
DAY 1 :
26 signed up ony 18 turned up on the first day as the team took to the streets of Northern Ireland as they focus on removing the extra weight most have endured over the festive season.

It was a beautiful Thursday morning the 6th of January in Belfast the birds were singing, the sun had only risen, it was 6am....NOT... it was freezing cold wet and dark and yes it was time for the return of Billy’s Boot Camp! There wasn’t a tired eye at the gym as kickboxing hopefuls were all wide-eyed and ready for action. This is the type of thing that needs to be done if you want to get in shape or become a champion! Would you be prepared to do it?

Some new faces at boot Camp - Two where late, one was sick, and the fastest time was Mr Johnny Smith - overall a good first day back

Coach Murray believes it’s the best thing for the up-n-coming fighters and anyone wanting to get in the best shape of their lives.

More details on our next 'Boot Camp' that are planned  will be posted here later.
