• ProKick Visit to Parliament Buildings at 4pm-sharp

Earlier this year Mr Robinson marked a special visit to the tin-hut Prokick Gym to honour the achievements of four young kickboxing students, who had achieved Black Belts in the sport.

Mr Robinson said: “The Prokick Gym is well-known throughout Northern Ireland and the rest of the world for its achievements in kickboxing. I would like to extend an invitation to Billy Murray for a visit the Big House on the hill to see where I work."

Prokick Gym celebrated its 20th anniversary in February, and Murray’s 35 years in the martial art. It is testament to Billy Murray’s dedication, coaching and love for his sport that, after opening the doors two decades ago, the club is producing new talent to this day.

Some of that talent can be seen at the Thai-Tanic event this Sunday June 10 at the Holiday Inn, Belfast, where no less than six home grown talents will compete for British and European honours.

Former-world champion Murray, said: “To have our First Minister, Peter Robinson, visit and make a presentation to our fabulous four young Black Belt students in February was a proud moment for Prokick and the sport of kickboxing. But to be invited by the First Minister to bring our members to see Parliament Buildings, is such a tremendous boost for us all, and one the children will never forget. I think we will re-make that famous Rocky scene on the famous Stormont steps.”

In February, Mr Robinson presented Saskia Connolly (Carrickfergus), Leith Braiden (South Belfast), Kyle Morrison (East Belfast) and Jamie Phillips (Bangor) with Black Belts.
