'The Jackal' as he has become known in boxing circles has won all of his 11 professional contests, seven of those wins by KO and his winning form and hunger for bigger and better things shows no sign of stopping.
Matchroom Sports boss Eddie Hearn stated that Frampton could possibly make his USA debut before the year is out and also hinted at a plausible St Patrick’s Day fight card in NYC, which will include some of the leading Irish fighters in his stable. He also went on to reveal he is currently in talks with Lou DiBella about putting ‘The Belfast Boy’ on the under card of Jermain Taylor’s clash with Jessie Nicklow.
Hearn quoted “I had a chat with my good friend Lou DiBella and he wants one of our fighters on the under card of Jermain Taylor’s show which is on HBO,” he revealed. “We are looking at getting Carl Frampton an opponent for that show and he could end up being chief support. It could be a great chance for him to get some massive exposure Stateside.”
As of yet no official offer has been announced and all news on the matter is explicitly speculative but this could mean great things for the Belfast fighter.
