Gary is fresh off some very impressive wins in Dublin and Switzerland and was due to compete in ProKick's 'Fright Night' event on 30th October in Belfast's Hilton Hotel but unfortuately for the East Belfast fighter, his opponent didn't show on the night. This meant Gary still got the victory via walk-over decision but he was still disappointed that he didn't get to showcase his skills after training extremely hard for the fight.
More bad luck came his way recently when he picked up a stomach injury and has had to withdraw from training for a few weeks. However, being the kickboxing fanatic he is, he still managed to make his way down to ProKick HQ tonight to help mentor the new generation of kickboxers coming up through the ranks.
Alongside Gary was his 5 year old son COdy who is hoping to start training when he reaches 6.
