Meanwhile, ProKick team mate Karl McBlain, will also travel and compete in the second largest island in the Mediterranean, Sardinia. The gas engineer McBlain, will take to the ring in a Thai-boxing style fight for the amateur WKN European title at the light-welterweight devision 64.5kg. If McBlain is successful this will be his third European title in three different kickboxing styles, the east Belfast man hold amateur titles in K1 style and in Full-Contact kickboxing.
"This is a great opportunity and very important fights for me and the team." ProKick head coach Billy Murray added: " These fights will open the door to a new WKN promoter which I haven't dealt with in the past. More importantly, the fights will act as stepping stones for both Gary and Karl as they prepare for World title matches at the end of the year set for Belfast."

Hi
I’m sure both fighters will do Team Pro Kick proud, the fight card is a great opportunity for the lads to top up their tan in the middle of the Med and for Gary to strut his stuff as he prepares for a World Title fight later this year, while Karl gets to fight for yet another European Title.
I saw Karl repeatedly leap onto the ring apron with the heavy bag on his shoulders on Thursday night’s class, he looked in great shape and still has 3 weeks training to prepare for this European Title fight, so, Lorenzo I’m glad it’s you who is squaring up to him in the ring and not me.
Wishing Team Pro Kick a great and successful trip to Sardina, Regards.
