Pawel Gorka Vs David Briwa
Pawel is making his way to the ring now.Pawel gets a tremendous reception from the partisan crowd. Talk about David and Goliath they don’t come any closer than this.
First round - Pawel goes all out to try and finish his man quick and against the direction of his coach Murray who was frantically shouting in the corner for Pawel to keep his distance because the guy was so big.And only until the end of the round that he kept his distance he caught the giant with a salvo of punches and clearly hurt the Corsican and drawing blood from his nose.
Pawel takes the first round.
2nd round – After a telling off Pawel comes out of the corner like a new man with more purpose in his work and clearly under instruction. A combination of punches and the referee jumped in to give the Corsican a standing count. With one minute left in the round Pawel is clearly tiring with the weight of David lying on him and trying to stop him from working.
Pawel takes the 2nd round by a 10-8 verdict.
3rd Round – David comes out with a new lease of life clearly with the knowledge from his coach that he is behind and needs a knockout to win. Pawel is clearly the more exhausted of the two but out of desperation or precision punching he caught David with a cracking right hand – the vibrations were felt back in his home country of Warsaw.
The referee administers another standing count, Pawel smelling victory was not letting his man of another time, with a combination of punches, uppercuts and hooks the referee Roy Battrelilla called a halt to the fight 15 seconds before the final bell.
Pawel Gorka is victorious with 2 fights – 2 wins and now in his first international fight, bring on the next one.
The Polish giant is beating himself up as he was not happy with his performance. “I still have a lot to do and learn.”
Gary Hamilton will fight at around midnight tonight, we will aim to bring you round by round details of this fight also. stay tuned.
