A possible replacement match is being discussed with Okungbowa's trainer Leon Parsons to match up the Athlone heavyweight with ProKick's own rising Heavyweight talent Paul Best. There are no further details on this possible match as of yet but as always we will keep you posted as any developments occur. Needless to say both James and the ProKick team are highly disappointed the match couldn't take place but 'Big James' will still leave the competitive side of the sport with his head held high and with the utmost respect from all of his ProKick team mates.
The fight veteran has had a remarkable career in the sport of kickboxing competing all over the world and has amassed a huge following all over Ireland. He will be retiring from the competitive side to concentrate on his coaching career under the guidance of ProKick Gym owner and Four-Time Professional World Champion, Billy Murray.
Tickets for the 'Fright Night' event at Belfast's Hilton Hotel are now on sale so get them while you still can and show the rest of The ProKick team your support.
