The card also includes two British standouts in the shape of Liam Harrison and Jordan Watson, both from the Bad Company team in Leeds - both will mark the Glory and UK debut. Australian banger Steve Moxon, who has been called the ‘new Mike Zambidis’ will also feature.

Spong made his MMA debut with a first-round knockout at World Series of Fighting 1 in Las Vegas earlier this year. That debut got a lot of attention because Spong has been a top-tier kickboxer for some years now and has a 68-6-1 record with an astonishing 42 KO’s on it.

Spong is ranked number six in the world of heavyweight kickboxers but in Remy Bonjasky he is classed as a legend of the sport who is more accomplished as a kickboxer. It's will be down to who wants it more and the smart money heading in Spong's favour.

Bonjasky was away from fighting for nearly three years while he dealt with a nagging eye injury but he returned to action last year with a decision win over the tough Brazilian heavyweight Anderson ‘Braddock’ Silva.

"This is a dream fight that kickboxing fans around the world have been wanting to see for some time. Bonjasky is one of the sport's greats and anybody who watched him fight in Brussels could see immediately that he was as sharp as ever. He had the same dynamic fighting style that earned him tremendous success and acclaim in the sport before he went on hiatus three years ago," said GLORY Managing Director Marcus Luer.

"As for Spong, his speed and technicality are just amazing. He is unbelievably agile for a heavyweight and he makes fighting look like ballet. He also has plenty of power and a real killer instinct, which we saw in his win over Peter Aerts last year. Bonjasky and Spong are two of the most natural athletes the sport of kickboxing has ever seen. They are going to thrill the London fight fans in March."

GLORY Chairman Pierre Andurand remarked, “I live in London and I am very proud to be bringing these two world-class fighters to the British capital. Bonjasky and Spong are at the top of their games right now and the winner will take a step closer to a shot at the GLORY heavyweight title.”
