SEMI-MAIN EVENT
Through the course of hard training and developing as a fighter over the years, Calgary's Alana 'Butch' Dunbrack has finally hit an impressive stride. Winning the TBA World Title at the World Classic in June 2009, she now moves forward and battles on this event for an International Flyweight Muay Thai Title against Japan's Chihar 'Bitter' Weerasakreck. Weerasakreck trains in Thailand at Ingram Gym in Bangkok is no slouch in the ring.
The Japanese girl has predicted a huge knockout of the Canadian and then plans on putting in a challenge for the World Title. Dunbrack takes the bout in stride looking forward to letting her skills do the talking in the ring. Dunbrack will also be representing Team Canada at the IFMA World Championships in late November in Bangkok. In 2008, Dunbrack won the Silver Medal at the World Championships and this year she is shooting for Gold.
The Undercard features top Canadian and World Class talent featuring Main Event athlete Peter Arbeau, Sandra Bastian, Misty Sutherland, Sean McKinnon, John Hamm, Hakeem Dawodu, Ari Markle and Tyler Twerdun. Opposition comes in from Japan, Thailand, England, Germany and Canada.
The event takes place on Friday October 16th in the evening at the prestigious Telus Convention Center.
