Hamilton's coach, Billy Murray has an offer on the table from K1 legend Ernesto Hoost for Gary to compete on one of 'Mr Perfect's events in Japan. The K1 style match-up will be against a top Japanese fighter in Nagoya at the end of this October.
Murray said, "Gary still has a lot to offer the world of kickboxing and could reclaim a world title. There is a lot of interest internationally for Gary and, now that he is back, we will take our time and plot his course to reclaim his world title. Gary's training has been going well and it really looks as if he is enjoying it again. I would like Gary to have a couple of warm-up bouts before he goes to Japan;
it would also help him to shake off ring-rust.
Murray is negotiating for Gary to fight in Glasgow on 1st of September.

Hamilton Gearing Up For Ring Return
Former world WKN champion Gary Hamilton is back in training after talks with his long time coach Billy Murray to make a welcomed and overdue return to the ring. His last fight was in England against Michael Johnston on the 26th November 2011 and he has only had three fights in the last two years. This inactivity was due to changing of jobs, personal problems, the sudden passing of his Mother just 14 months ago and also with the more recent loss his Father.
