Cocky Kinigamazi is on a Kamikaze mission as he asked Hamilton to put the money where the mouth is by betting on the fight as he squared up to Hamilton and said "This all the more reason why I’m going to knock you out."

WKN rules are that there are only 2 attempts at the weight the night before. However a third was granted but came along with a penalty, a substantial fine from Gary’s purse going directly to the challenger Patrick Kinigamazi.

Patrick said at the weigh in, “So you think I am too big and too strong Gary, who is the one in trouble already? I am going to take your title!”

Hamilton's coach Billy Murray said “ I’m so disappointed in the way we presented ourselves at the weigh-in in reference to World champion Gary Hamilton being overweight for his fourth defence of his featherweight crown. I don’t just blame Gary I am also responsible for this and apologise for our unprofessional approach with Gary’s weight.

Murray added from the rules in the centre of Geneva. "The main issue now is that Gary wins this fight against Patrick, and after that when we’re back in Belfast, Gary and I will sit down and see where we go from here and what our options are.

“Serious questions will have to be answered after this fight as to which category Gary belongs in."

Pawel Gorka weighed in a trim 97kilo.
