Gary Hamilton was in jubilant form “I really enjoyed that, it’s nice to be back in a boxing ring and this time under Queensbury rules. The game plan was to stick to my jab and box, but I felt stronger than Andrew and decided to stay on the inside and look for the body. I’m looking forward to my next boxing bout, not sure when it’s going to be but the sooner the better.”

Hamilton Wins Boxing match in 1st round on his Birthday
Belfast’s Gary Hamilton was in no form to take second place in his 8th outing as a professional boxer tonight (Saturday May 31st). The WKN current world feather weight champion took just 2 minutes and 27 seconds in the first round of a scheduled four rounder to flatten Rotherham’s Andrew Ward with a shuddering left hook to the body leaving the referee to stop the fight without the mandatory count as Ward showed no signs of making it back to his feet.
