In the past, it has drawn TV stars, pop idols, sporting heroes and politicians. It became one of the ‘must-attend’ nights on Northern Ireland’s sporting calendar - it’s the Bash ‘N’ Mash of course. The show will take place on St Patrick's Day in the Holiday Inn hotel Belfast.
‘Major Hoost’, the man they call Mr Perfect is back as special guest of honour - the 4 time K1 kickboxing Grand Prix Champion and martial arts Superstar Ernesto Hoost is back by popular demand
“Those lucky enough to get a ticket for the event are in for a treat.” Said Promoter Billy Murray
“We will have 12 top quality kickboxing bouts with K1 styles of fighting, a Full-Contact WKN world title eliminator with Hillsborough's teenage heartthrob Mark Bird, a rising star in the sport of kickboxing who won most technical fighter in the Japan Hoost Cup challenge. He will face Swiss Diego Diserens, the winner of the match will fight three weeks later in Cyprus for the WKN amateur world title.
Also a new exciting Gary Hamilton, former professional world champion, will take part in a Needle Match as he plans out a course to be King of the Ring again.”
“The charismatic kickboxing hero will take part in a full-contact match scheduled for five rounds against another Belfast man Aubrey Tarr, himself a former current British and European Champion. Hamilton is guaranteeing a great show.”
Their showdown, a second between the pair, has landed sponsorship from Belfast tattoo store Cusick, owned by Northern Ireland's power-lifting king Andrew Cusick.
The fightcard will feature three Swiss opponents who will take on some of the best Ireland has to offer in the amateur league. Five Englishmen will also storm the Countries capital to take on the Irish on this famous day when St Patrick chased snakes out of Ireland and became a patron Saint. And if that's not enough there are three all Celt affairs on the 12 strong fight card.
Special guest will be none other than K1 super star Ernesto Hoost, whilst fight-fans will also be entertained by Acoustic folk rock sensation 'Scorpion Jack' who have been added to the St Patrick's Day Bash program at the Holiday Inn Belfast on March 17th.
