ProKick head coach Billy Murray and his team were on their way to Galway so Murray could work Ken's corner but received a phone call on the way saying that the fight was no longer taking place. For some reason or another there was a mis-communication between the Limerick and Galway camps as an injured Moynihan turned up a the weigh-in as a spectator.

Horan literally had just jumped off the scales after weighing in at 75.1kg when he was approached by the promoter, informing him the fight had been called.

Event promoter Peter Foley from Black Dragon Kickboxing in Galway was then informed that Moynihan had injured his hamstring earlier in the week and was not but was still under the understanding that he would compete as there was no official withdrawal from team Moynihan. All parties involved were bitterly disappointed as this was a match Horan has been longing for since he was defeated by the Limerick based fighter many years ago.

Ken is currently in preparation for a fight later this month in Grimsby, England and jumped at the chance to use the fight against Moynihan not only as preparation for Grimsby, but the long awaited revenge he has been looking for.
