The rules meeting and weigh-ins kicked off about 20 minutes late but once under-way it ran like clock-work, efficient and professional.
Couple of big surprises first up, Andy Souwer was late for the weigh-in for his challenge for the It's SHOWTIME World Title 70kg max match against the reigning champion Chris Ngimbi. And when he arrived he was .600 grams over weight just 45 mins later he returned and made under the limit.
The main event Spong Vs Aerts – Peter weighd-in on his own, Tyrone Spong was late. Peter Aerts went about his business photos for press and then off to see the doctor back stage.
Tyrone finally made it, hit the scales at 102kg. Peter was called for a face-off and the pair went head-to-head but Mr Aerts just asked, "how have you been" and the two ring masters just chatted as photographers went crazy. How things will change in just 24 hours from now, it will be a different story entirely.
Generally, everyone was in good form - on weight, no bad talk or heads banging together like strutting cock-fighters ready for war – it was hand shakes, hugs and well wishing, until tomorrow night that is!
The joint prmoters for It's Showtime are BFN Group. ProKick's Billy Murray was made welcome by a BFN Group promoter Mr Gökhan Yıldızl. Check out the BFN Group
