Hamilton may have thought his Ulster Hall-filling days were behind him but thanks to the calling of K1 star Ernesto Hoost, the Belfast man will get another limelight shot.

Hoost has been invited to bring together a list of fighters he considers to be among the best in the world for  ' ITS Showtime'  one of Europe's biggest fight promotion company and host a special fight night. The event will be screened live in many different counties across the world - dates and station will be posted later.

Hamilton has been paired with teak-tough Thai- boxer Sergio Wielzen at light-welterweight 63kg.

He said: “I wasn’t in a good place when I took the fight against Patrick. I had fought hard to make the weight and people who know me know that I have been fighting to remain a featherweight for some time.

“I knew immediately after the fight in Switzerland, win or lose, that I needed to move up a weight. I am getting older and naturally my body is changing – but I am in better shape than I have ever been. I have a clear picture of what I want to achieve in this next fight. It is great exposure for me - mark my words, I will be back where I expect to be.”
