The main event of It's Showtime No. 46 was between Hesdy Gerges and Daniel Ghita. If you are a true fight fan whichever discipline it would have been virtually impossible not to have enjoyed this bout. First round saw battle of the leg kicks, with Ghita throwing a few more than Gerges. The current world 'It's Showtime' world champion may have come off second best with the leg kicks but Gerges used superior hand speed to narrowly take the round.

In the second round Gerges was stretching his lead with the better work and it didn't help as Ghita dropped his hands as Gerges proceeded to punch him - a truly reckless to stupid game plan - I'm sure Ghita's team where going crazy at the stunt as all he accomplished to do was take unnecessary unanswered heavy shots.

Standing count; It didn't help later in the round, Ghita hit the canvas which he received an eight count from the referee. In fairness to Ghita it wasn't justified as the reply showed the knock-down was a low blow. Unfortunately for the Romanian and K-1 veteran, it was declared as a knockdown and received a standing eight count.

The third round was a show-stopper as Ghita really pilled on the pressure and in a few occasions though-out the final round Gerges looked for the first time on shaky ground and that a clean shot could finish the match. To little to late as all the work in the third round was not enough - Hesdy Gerges took a unanimous decision.

A total of 18 fights entertained an esteemed 4000 strong audience - more on the other fights later.
