The East Belfast fighter has stated that he won't be out for too long and will still be seen pounding the roads and keeping his fitness up as per usual.
Johnny is one of the 10 ProKick fighters competing on the 'Fright Night' event this October 30th in Belfast's Hilton Hotel. He is fresh off a string of wins as of late and is determined not to let this minor injury impede his ring career in any way.
We are all glad the injury wasn't as severe as it could have been and we will keep you updated on his progress here, as always, on ProKick.com

Johnny ‘Handy-Man’ Smith
ProKick fighter Johnny Smith had a close call today as the engineer came very close to losing a few digits in a disagreement with an angle grinder. Johnny dubbed 'The Gas Man' will be out of training for the next week or so and unfortunately has lost the chance to travel to Amsterdam to fight in 2 weeks time.
