"It's great that Joe is holding this club night for the event." said kickboxing figurehead Billy Murray. "He's a massive kickboxing fan who has become a member of our ProKick gym and a keen practitioner of the noble art. He's already an orange belt and will be going for green soon.

"I've heard his show on Radio Ulster - it's a cracker. I prefer Neil Diamond, but he said he'll let me in on the night anyway!"

The Seven Wonders show is a landmark event for kickboxing. For the first time ever seven world titles will be up for grabs on one card. What makes it more remarkable is that seven of the contenders will come from the one gym - Murray's celebrated ProKick Gym in east Belfast.

"Nothing like this has ever been attempted before." Murray said. "To have one world title on the card at any event is a thrill. To have two is a double whammy of delight. To go for seven knockout bouts one after each other on the same card is unheard of."

He added: "What I am planning will be an organisational nightmare. It will be a hugely costly exercise and will also put the titles of all my champions on the line. Worst case, it completely clears out the trophy cabinet. And as any fighter I have trained over the last number of decades, I don't like to lose.

"So this is not something I am going into lightly. But Northern Ireland is ready for this. We are the power-house of European kickboxing. It will be a huge event carried on TV and online across Europe and across the globe."
