Rashad Evans returned to the Octagon after more than a year away and showed why he deserves to be the No. 1 contender in the light heavyweight division, beating Tito Ortiz by second-round technical knockout for the main event at UFC 133.

Ortiz put up a good fight, but he wasn't in the same class as Evans, who hurt him with ground and pound at the end of the first round and finished him with ground and pound at the end of the second round.

The official time of Evans' technical knockout victory was 4 minutes, 48 seconds of the second round.

"I feel great," Evans said afterward. "I feel like all the hard work, all the trials and tribulations have paid off."

K-1 knockout artist, Tyrone Spong is rumoured to be making the cross over to the mixed martial arts arena in 2012 after recently helping train former UFC light heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans.
