Whilst many of the nation were nice and cosy indors on what was a miserable Sunday, Ken and his team were training at an all day AKAI event in Dublin, preparing for several events that they are involved in this year.

After his team had finished training in Dublin, Ken called ProKick head coach Billy Murray who informed him that some of the ProKick squad who are currently training for ProKick's 'Fright Night' event this Sunday October 30th in The Hilton Hotel, Belfast, were training after the grading day had finished. No invitation was needed as Ken asked immediately if he could drive up from Dublin to join in the session before making the drive back to Galway.

Adding not only another hard training session, but also another 6 hours to his day, he made his way to ProKick HQ and went straight to sparring with the ProKick team, still putting most of them to the test. Then finished off the day with a hard few rounds on the pads with Murray.

Every young fighter who wants to make it, not only in the sport of kickboxing, but any combat sport, can take several leaves out of Ken's book. The dedication, passion, focus and drive that this man has shown throughout his entire fight career could inspire anyone.

Ken is set to fight Waterford's Sean O'Neill at 'Fright Night' on Sunday in his own 'Battle of the Middleweights' Clash. O'Neill, so we have heard, is also in the process of his own tough training camp for this fight so fight fans making their way to the event cn expect nothing but an all out war between the two seasoned fighters.

Limited tickets are still available for 'Fright Night' from ProKick HQ. For further info, call the gym on (028) 9065 1074 or email info@prokick.com before they all disappear.
