Veteran coach and former world champion Billy Murray tests his students through a variety of games that incorporate the use of kickboxing manoeuvres and skills.
"We have held ProKick Says competition days on a regular basis over the last 20 years and it's all with the aim of doing something different for the younger members of the gym, to eliminate any stress that may come with our grading system. So the kids are being graded without feeling any pressure. "They don’t see it as a test they see it as an occasion to have a laugh and step outside their disciplined class for a day and have FUN.”
Winners for the Shadow Boxing competion were Junior Prokickers:
Marshell Neill, Kelsey McCalaster, Alan McCartney and Lauren Noble
A massive well done to all our trophy winners and all the kids who took part and to our three resident black belts, Mr Adrian Murphy and Mr Paul Gordon and Ms Karen Millar.

Kids Shadow Boxing Competition
Northern Ireland’s promising young kickboxing talents came out in force to take part in a fun night that tests their skills and development in the martial art. The ProKick gym’s young students, aged from 6 to 13, took part in the fun evening under ‘Prokick Says’ rules, which is based on the old playground game Simple Simon Says.
