Lord Mayor Nichola Mallon honours World Champions - VIDEO ADDED
Check-out the latest Video featuring the #LordsOfTheRing ProKick team meeting the Lord Mayor Nichola Mallon at the Belfast City Hall. Belfast's Lord Mayor Nichola Mallon took time from her busy schedule to congratulate the ProKick team on their recent wins of staggering FIVE World title fights at the Ulster Hall on September 13th. Nichola Mallon said that she'd been keeping up to date with ProKick's latest news via Twitter and was delighted to have the team visit her parlour for a meet and greet. After being presented with a WKN kickboxing honoree Black belt courtesy of Coach and head instructor Billy Murray, the Lord Mayor was also presented with all the kit that she needs to get her started in her first class. Word has it that she'll be along to class some night so we can expect another World champion out of Belfast soon.
The Lord Mayor also wanted to discuss The Peace Fighters and Billy Murray talked her through what they've done to date and what they hope to achieve in the future. On receiving a Peace Fighters t-shirt Nichola Mallon said that she'd seen them on-line too, at least we know the message is reaching the right people and couldnt have a better advocate than the Lord Mayor when you look at the amount of unity through sport she's promoted in the past few months.
The Lord Mayor then spoke to the LOTR (Lords Of The Ring)Team individually, asking them about their training and congratulating them on what they brought to the city. Although the sport doesn't get the recognition it deserves both the Lord Mayor and Billy Murray thanked the City Council for their help with getting the sport some support.

When elected our Lord Mayor said..
“I will celebrate and showcase Belfast’s heroes - the coaches, mentors, carers, volunteers - all those who give compassionately and selflessly, with little recognition, to their communities. For me these are Belfast’s true First Citizens and they deserve recognition”..
Well done Mr Murray, all the fighters and the whole Prokick team.
