Young Wilton has fought his way up the raking, guided by his Dad Alan Wilton who worked his son Luke into the position as the mandatory challenger for a shot at the British flyweight title.
His Father Alan has approached the British Boxing Board of Control about staging the title match here in Belfast. Mr Wilton will find out from the board by next Wednesday July 11th and he hopes it's the decision he's looking for.

East Belfast's Luke Wilton will head-line on the first of a new Saturday night boxing series set for the Ulster Hall on October 13. The little flyweight is hoping to fight for the British title on a top of the bill match, in a joint promoted event by his mum and dad along with 'Peace Promotions,' a new company headed by new promoter, Mark Dunlop.
