Rogan's win and struggle to get to the top as a boxer could be something that a Hollywood movie script would be proud of – the only thing Martin’s story is real life drama - his desire to win inspires. The 37-year-old from Belfast faced Skelton after ending the career of Audley Harrison in December when he beat the Olympic gold medallist over 10 rounds, Rogan’s non-stop action style was finally too much for the Bedford man Skelton as he was saved in the 11th by his corner when the towel was thrown in after a second knock-down.
Now "The Entertainers" stunning win over the Commonwealth heavyweight champion allows him to gatecrash the world scene.
"It's everyone's dream when they are growing up to become heavyweight champion of the world," said Rogan. That dream is now a reality!
Well done to the pride of Belfast Big Martin Rogan - the new Commonwealth heavyweight professional boxing champion
